Continuing Education

The Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI), together with Case Western Reserve University’s (CWRU) Continuing Engineering Education program are undertaking a pilot program to offer short courses (2 to 3 contiguous days) at the university and at OAI. Our goal is to bring the knowledge of world class experts, in specialty topics that are not usually covered in the academic environment and which are critical to maintaining industrial leadership in engineering design and manufacture, to government and industry practitioners.

We offer participants the opportunity to take core courses that can lead to a specialty certificate in a core area of technology. Our initial suite of short courses will include offerings in rotating machinery, covering bearings, gears, lubrication, seals, rotor dynamics and fasteners. These courses can also be applied as credit to maintaining an individual’s professional engineering license.

The first scheduled course is:

Rolling-Element Bearing Technology on June 25-27, 2007 at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio

Instructors will be Erwin V. Zaretsky and Joseph V. Poplawski
