To make life a little more interesting we are holding a dinner meeting next Wednesday (Sept. 19th) night in Bingham Rm. 103. The meeting will be a round table discussion with current civil engineering professionals from the Cleveland area. There will hopefully be representatives from all walks of civil engineering including construction management, geotech, structural, environmental, and water resources. We will be able to ask them questions pertaining to their jobs right after graduation, likes/dislikes of their job, daily tasks, and anything else imaginable. This is a great opportunity to get an idea of what to expect and maybe help steer your academic focus in a new direction. Along with the round table there will also be plenty of pizza, drinks, and a healthy serving of surprise guest Grant Mott. So save the date Wednesday Sept. 19th, 5:15 p.m., Bingham room 103.
12:30 p.m., September 14 in the Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence, Room 9, lower level of Crawford Hall. Joseph Calabrese, chief executive officer of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transportation Authority will lead a discussion on the Euclid Corridor Project.
Professor Panoskaltsis gave an Invited talk at the 18th ASCE Engineering Mechanics Conference at Virginia Tech, June 3-6, 2007 entitled: “Theoretical and Computational Aspects of Modeling Asphalt Concrete and Pavements: An Internal Variable Approach”
